Quoting Alanis Morissette
As a teen, I was both anorexic and bulimic. Disappointment, sadness and pain hit me hard. I lived on a diet of Melba toast, carrots, and black coffee. I hope my effort shows any woman battling an eating disorder or poor body image that she’s not alone—support is out there

Alanis Morisette
Alanis Morissette is not the only woman having an eating disorder. The problem is that if you don’t have it, you may believe it can not be that tough. But, unfortunately, there is. The biggest issue with anorexia and bulimia is the guilt. This feeling makes you weak and vulnerable. Then the lack of energy, due to the poor nourishment, forbids your brain to think clearly so you may see things which are not, you may judge situations in a strange way. And all that because you don’t thing straight anymore. Then comes the sadness of not being understood, the self guilt of not being the perfect person the other wants you to be and so on. It is not a game, it is a dangerous situation in which lots of girls are putting themselves. And Alanis Morissette is right “support is out there”. All we have to do is accept it!
