Bobbi Kristina Gives Tearful 2012 Billboard Music Awards Speech

I just wanna say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all–not just when it was good, but when it was bad too. Just everything. Thank you so much for showing that much love, because she deserved it, she did. I’m just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman’s life, there will never be another one, ever. And I thank you, fans, everyone, thank you.

Bobbi Kristina gives tearful speech at 2012 Billboard Music Awards

During Sunday night, May 20, Billboard Music Awards, Whitney Houston‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown accepted the late singer’s “Millenium” award on her behalf.

Whoopi had a opening speech recalling one of her fondest memories with Whitney, John Legend. Then Jordin Sparks performed two of her greatest hits. The family came on stage to receive the award.

19-year-old Bobbi Kristina was accompanied by Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law and former manager, Patricia Houston. “We thank you or honoring Whitney with the Millenium Award–we thank you Billboard, we thank you Whoopi, Jordin and John. But tonight, the one person that should be accepting this award is the one person that Whitney loved most and treasured most–her daughter Bobbi”, Patricia said.

Whitney Houston was found dead in a bath tub in her hotel room on February 11 of this year. Whitney drowned in the water. Bobbi Kristina is her only daughter with former husband Bobby Brown.
