While Mariah Carey is feuding with Nicki Minaj on American Idol’ set, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears are getting along very well on X Factor. 20-year-old Demi seems overwhelmed with 30-year-old Britney’s fame. The young singer think Britney is clever and quirky.

“What surprised me the most about Britney is that she’s actually really quirky. You kind of expect a legendary pop star [to] sometimes [be], like, a diva or something, but she’s really not. She’s a sweet, down-to-earth, Southern girl”, Demi told People at a party for Season 2 finalists this week.

In return, Britney appreciates Demi a lot. Back in August she told TV Guide that Demi’s opinion inspired her. “Sometimes I listen to [her] and I’m like, ‘Oh, God, I’ve got be a little stronger’”, she said.

And this is not all. The two singers are getting so friendly together, they might even do a duet in the future. Recently, Demi admitted she “would love” to record a song with Britney.
