Helena Bonham Carter Likes To Be Deformed by Tim Burton…in Movies!

  Tim Burton directed Helena Bonham Carter’s most recently movie ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and gave her the role of the Red Queen. Because she didn’t mind to appear deformed in the movie,  the actress had to show up with a huge head. “Oh, a huge head? I see, lovely”, she said when Burton proposed her the role. 

 Red Queen grew up with a tumor in her head, which, in Wonderland’s version of physiology, made her head vast. “The queen’s head was something we had to be careful to account for all the time. We had to remind people to back away from Helena in their scenes to give her head enough room”, visual-effects supervisor Ken Ralston said.

We don’t know yet if deforming his wife like that is a sexual or an artistic thing for Burton, but we liked the movie, so, for the moment, we don’t mess with their tastes.
