This is so hilarious! Hilary Swank and Jean Claude van Damme were invited (and they attended) a televised birthday party for Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov in Grozny. After the party, human rights groups criticized the celebrities for attending the party. So Hilary had to say “I’m sorry”.
“I deeply regret attending this event. If I had a full understanding of what this event was apparently intended to be, I would never have gone”, the Oscar winning actress said in a statement to The Associated Press.

See? It’s hilary-ous! Poor Hilary didn’t know who Ramzan Kadyrov was, she was paid to go, she went, people got upset and she had to apologize. Saying ” If I had a full understanding of what this event was apparently intended to be, I would never have gone” it’s like saying “I’m sorry, they paid me to go, I had to go, I hope this apology will pay the price I’ve received”.

Our wonder! Will she return the money if she regrets attending the party?
