Katy Perry supports Hilary Clinton's presidential candidature
Katy Perry is indirectly going into politics. The 29-year-old singer supported Hillary Rodham Clinton this weekend at an event promoting the release of her new memoir, Hard Choices.
Perry shared a photo via Instagram of herself posing with the former Secretary of State, 66. “I told @hillaryclinton that I would write her a ‘theme’ song if she needs it…”, Perry wrote along with the picture.
And guess what? The former First Lady and rumored presidential candidate responded to Perry’s offer via Twitter on June 22. “Well that’s not a Hard Choice. You already did! Keep letting us hear you Roar“, she wrote.
“I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath / Scared to rock the boat and make a mess / So I sat quietly, agreed politely / I guess that I forgot I had a choice / I let you push me past the breaking point / I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything… I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire / ‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar / Louder, louder than a lion / ‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar”, writes the song.
Previously, Perry performed at President Obama’s second inauguration in 2013.
